Save Life and Promotion Of Community Social Responsibility Programme
NOTDEC-Uganda is a community-based organization operating in Western Uganda based in Kasese district. It is located in Kabirizi village –Lake Katwe Sub county on the Kikorongo Bwera road metres from the road. In 1984 Dorothy the founder got a vision directing her to look after orphans (James: 1:27). She started looking after orphans whose mothers die in labor at Kagando hospital (KARUDEC) including those that are abandoned and threatened by poverty from the surrounding community within Kisinga Sub county.
She started this noble ministry in a grass thatched house which has developed into a talent development centre. In 1996 she received support from a friend a Swiss lady by names of Eleonor Wismer, this enabled her to build a better home in kisinga town council. In 2003 Christians of St. Paul’s church Lamington in UK organized a sponsorship scheme which started raising funds to support the Centre. All the ach as funds increased the children were shifted from Kisinga home to the current Centre at Kabirizi where it has spent 9 years and it has been licensed by the ministry of gender, labour and social development.
